Environment Pollution

                           Environment Pollution

Our mother earth is composed of different elements which are mostly natural like soil, air, water, plants, animals etc. All living beings depend on these elements. A harmonious co-existence of these elements make our lives safe and sound. But when this natural balance and equilibrium is disturbed then this situation is considered as environmental pollution. Since the creation of this earth, there is mostly no phenomenon like this. This pollution is threatening the very existence of all living beings. Our water as well as our soil, air, the sound is being polluted in different ways. Though the other name of water is life still this water is being polluted especially by a human being. It is said that a human being can survive two weeks without food but they cannot survive more than three days without water. Oil of the ships or other motor vehicles, waste materials of mills and factories, chemical fertilizers washed away into rivers and canals, open latrine beside the river, pond etc. are the causes of water pollution. Polluted water causes various kinds of maladies and sometimes causes death. Air is also one of the most important elements of our environment. It is called the life-giving force. But it is a matter of great sorrow that it is also not spared from pollution. Industries and factories emit a huge amount of smoke, gases, and fume. Motor vehicles also emit a large amount of smoke and gases. All these pollute air seriously. Breathing problem, lung cancer, greenhouse effect, global warming etc. are caused by air pollution. The World Health Organization estimated in 2014 that every year air pollution causes the premature death of some 7 million people worldwide. Due to indiscriminate use of vehicle horns, loudspeakers, mikes, political procession, and their slogan etc. create sound pollution. It affects our hearing, our nerves, and our efficiency to work. Sound pollution also causes hypertension, high-stress levels, tinnitus, sleep disturbances, and other harmful effects. The soil is polluted by harmful chemical, fertilizers, insecticides, poly bag etc. Soil contaminants can have significant deleterious consequences for ecosystems. Agricultural production is disrupted, the food-value of the crops declines and also the soil itself losses fertility due to soil-pollution. Carbon dioxide, while vital for photosynthesis, is sometimes referred to as pollution, because raised levels of the gas in the atmosphere are affecting the Earth's climate. Natural agents like birds and other animals are at life risk for the lack of shelter and food. So the Government should take some steps to reduce these problems.
